Anthony Chow

Anthony is the Regulatory and Compliance Officer and in-house attorney for SMOK, a manufacturer of vapor products including atomizers and coil heads. Previously, Anthony has the industry experience providing legal advice since 2015.

George Cassels-Smith

George is the President of eLiquiTech, Inc., a private
label flavor, e-juice and cartomizer manufacturer,
and e-liquid bottler.  eLiquiTech is a subsidiary
of the largest flavor company in North America
that supplies the vapor and tobacco industries.


Brittani Cushman
Turning Point Brands

Brittani is the Vice President of External Affairs for Turning Point Brands, a marketer and distributor of vapor products.  Brittani provides industry leadership among like-sized manufacturers, advising on regulatory issues as they emerge and placing those issues in the context of both the current science and complex legal landscape of the vaping and tobacco industries.

Seth Coblenz
VMR Products

Seth Coblenz serves as General Counsel and VP of Regulatory Compliance for VMR Products, LLC, a global vapor technology company that designs, produces, distributes and supports an expansive V2® product catalog, among other next generation brands.  Seth has significant industry experience as a legal advocate before the FDA, and has advised various other regulated industries for the past 15 years as an attorney.

Stacey Hamilton
Kaleidoscope Vapor

Stacey is the founder and President of Kaleidoscope Vapor, and she is the President of the statewide retail vapor association Breath Easy Alliance of Alabama.  After 15 years working as a cardiovascular and trauma computed tomography technologist, witnessing hundreds of people losing their battle to smoking-related illness, Stacey opened Kaleidoscope Vapor and now operates three retail locations.

Chris Howard
E-Alternative Solutions

Chris is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for E-Alternative Solutions, a marketer and distributor of vapor products including the Cue Vapor System and Liquid Soul e-liquids.  Previously, Chris was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Fontem Ventures (blu eCigs), providing legal counsel on e-vapor issues since 2012.


Patricia Kovacevic
Nicopure Labs

Patricia is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance officer of Nicopure Labs LLC, a multinational, U.S.-based e-liquid manufacturer.  Patricia previously led the Regulatory Department at Lorillard.  She graduated from Columbia Law School and is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Joshua Church
Joyetech Group

Josh is the Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer of the Joyetech Group.  He is a key player in the development of the company’s internal standards, and oversees compliance of the Joyetech Group with U.S. and international regulations.  Also, Josh is the leader of AVER Labs, a dedicated e-cigarette development and safety certification laboratory.

Matthew Wiener
Vape Wild

Matt is the co-founder of VapeWild, one of the largest made to order e-liquid providers in the United States. Previously, Matt served our country as an Army Officer in Iraq. He currently oversees all major initiatives at VapeWild to include public affairs, regulatory compliance, and business development.

Jon Glauser
Demand Vape

Jon is co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Demand vape, a vapor products distribution and marketing company in the United States. Jon has many years of experience in dealing with international imports, fostering and maintaining key business relationships both domestically and abroad, and is heavily involved in product development from the conceptual phase to market launch. He has been in the vaping industry since 2011.

George Obispo
Ruthless Vapor

George is the Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for Ruthless Vapor Corporation, a premium e-liquid manufacturer based in California. George handles all compliance related manners, domestically and internationally, for the 80+ countries the Ruthless Brand is in. He is also responsible for creating Ruthless’ internal standards to ensure product quality.

Tony Abboud
Executive Director, VTA
Tony is a government relations expert and litigator with 25 years experience in grassroots organizing, politics, state lobbying and the courtroom. Tony has spent the past decade defending vapor companies and companies in other heavily regulated industries against government over-reach.  Tony brings his unique set of lobbying, legal, political and governmental experience to developing the strategic solutions that will enable vapor companies to succeed in a regulated world.

The Vapor Lobbying Team

VTA’s federal lobbying firm – West Front Strategies – houses the lobbying team recognized on Capitol Hill as being the “vapor lobbyists.” WFS has represented our industry for years and has designed and implemented the comprehensive federal strategies being executed in Washington, D.C., on behalf of our industry.

State By State

In 2017, vapor again will be challenged in multiple states.  VTA will work with state lobbyists, who have the right blend of experience and relationships, to protect the industry’s interests and will coordinate those lobbyists to implement a consistent nationwide strategy to achieve VTA’s mission.

Regulatory Expertise

Industry members are starving for regulatory guidance. VTA’s seasoned regulatory legal team will help members understand and navigate the regulatory scheme under which our industry now lives.

D.C. Public Affairs

The vapor industry has never had any control over the public narrative on vapor products. VTA’s media team has extensive experience in D.C. public affairs and is changing the public discourse on vaping products. Just like the opponents of vapor, VTA’s public messaging will be unified and strong.
