The Vapor Technology Association represents the manufacturers, wholesalers, small business owners and entrepreneurs who have developed innovative and quality vapor products, providing adult consumers with a safer alternative to traditional combustible products. VTA and its members are leaders in the vapor community, promoting small businesses and job growth, responsible public policies and regulations, and a high standard of safety within the industry.

Our Mission

VTA’s mission is focused. Through new and innovative leadership in the industry, we strive to:

  • Promote greater public health through smart regulations and responsible public policies
  • Transform the public debate around the vapor industry and dispel distorted and misleading information about vapor products
  • Keep the vapor market open and competitive across the board
  • Protect small business owners and their employees by ensuring the long-term viability of the vapor industry


VTA is the only national trade association that can execute a fully coordinated and integrated federal lobbying, state lobbying, and public affairs strategy to advocate fo all sector of the vapor industry.

VTA provides a full suite of services to its members, including:

  •   Federal advocacy on Capitol Hill and in all pertinent Executive Branch agencies
  •   Experienced state advocacy professionals who will work at the state level to promote the vapor industry and combat harmful legislative efforts
  •   State support package that includes professional guidance, assistance with identifying and hiring lobbyists, and multi-state coordination
  •   Professional national public affairs activities to combat hostile media and promote the benefits of vapor technology
  •   Practical guidance from VTA’s seasoned team of regulatory and legal experts to help members navigate the FDA and other relevant regulatory agencies
  •   A full slate of persuasive and informative position papers that can be tailored for legislators, regulators and media
  •   Training for members to advocate on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures
  •   Routine membership reports on developments in Washington, D.C., and in the state capitals
  •   National conferences and regional workshops to educate, inform and bind the industry together
  •   State Plug In Package for new and existing state vapor associations.
