Federal Advocacy
Our federal lobby teams are on the Hill everday fighting for our members. We engage with the Administration, the FDA, Members of Congress, and relevant federal agencies to defend and promote nicotine alternatives to cigarettes and save small businesses.
State Advocacy
VTA’s State Advocacy Team is running a multi-state strategy with state lobbying teams in 32 states. We are fighting back against Big Tobacco’s serial attempts to eliminate flavored vaping products and eliminate all the small businesses selling them.
Economic Impact
VTA’s economists have created the only economic impact model for the open and closed system vapor industry, and their work is used to educate regulators, media, legislators and the courts about the vapor industry’s economic impact.
Regulatory/Legal Guidance
Our lawyers fight hard in the courts to defend our industry and overturn bad laws and regulations. Our team specializes in FDA and tobacco compliance issues and can navigate the most complex legal and regulatory issues.

THE MOST important principle when considering nicotine product standards: Never make it harder for consumers to access less harmful products (eg pouches, ecigs) than more harmful (smoked) products.
